my doctor doesn't seem to work closely with a mfm doc and most of the people who I know with twins or that are pregnant with twins do.
I feel like my level of care isn't up to par and I know that my normal ob doesn't deal with a ton of twin pregnancies.
Would some one mind telling me what their care looked like?
I'm having di/di twins. The tech last week said she didn't feel comfortable telling us the sex, and my doctor said they would. it was a new tech. a couple other friends suggested that if they couldn't tell me that hat 16 weeks, they could be missing other things? I've been feeling guilty at the thought of switching care providers, but I'm just starting to get more nervous.
Any help is appreciated.
Re: did your ob work with a mfm doc?
My OB recommended my MFM and saw him for my 1st tri screen and will see him on Tuesday for an a/s and hopefully get signed off on. My OB is comfortable with my level of care and feels he can manage me unless something huge comes up but then again my OB
However, I think it's fairly common to not give a definitive on sex at 16w. I wouldn't take that alone as proof they are incompetent.
I have di/di twins at 28 weeks. I do not see an MFM. I had worked my self up at the beginning of the 2nd tri about getting an MFM and talked to a couple of nurses and brought it up many times with my OB. I have had a dream of a pregnancy. No morning si

Usually, my OB practice sent all pregnancies to a radiology center for level II ultrasounds/ testing. However, they sent me to a MFM practice for all testing. The MFM did all of my growth scans, NSTs, BPPs, and AFIs, but a doctor never laid a hand on m

Yes, my OB works with one, but only sends you for high risk type things. It isn't an automatic you see the MFM at my OB just because it is twins. It depends on your pregnancy. My OB is a twin mom herself, which is nice.
