minimal exposure or strictly no - wheat allergy

It has been confirmed that dd has a wheat allergy. Her symptoms are mild - mild eczema primarily & she had a mild case of hives recently. She also has regular colds, which may or may not be related and mushy poops which may or may not be just normal. In the past few days since she was diagnosed I have been given varying advice. My question - Do I eliminate wheat altogether or do I make sure that she has occasional exposure so that she does not form a worse allergy to it? The allergist even said that since her symptoms were so mild if we didn't want to stop giving her wheat, we could just treat the eczema like we've been doing.

Maybe someone else has a better answer for you but it's hard to tell. If you like and trust your allergist, I'd probably go what doc advises. There are so many unknowns with allergies. Hard to tell if your child will eventually start showing worse reactio
