swimsuit shopping FML

So I tried on bathing suits today.

I had been feeling good about myself because I've lost 8 lbs in the last six weeks and weight training is helping me tone.

30 minutes in the fitting room and that was out the window.

I found something that might work but I have to order online because of course they were out of the size I need. It's the swimwear equivalent of mom jeans.

At least you had the guts to try on bathing suits! I'm afraid I won't be in one this summer. I was over weight to begin with so I have a looking road ahead. Don't get down on yourself sounds like you're on track if you're trying on swimsuits.

It is hard. I tried on swim suits the other day and it was not awesome.

Awwww, at least you are doing it. I'm too scared. Although I can fit in my suit from before pregnancy and it fits just fine, but it is a tankini. My IL's have a hot tub so we've gone out and sat in it while MIL watches DS.

Well, we go swimming a lot....I am eventually going to have to suck it up and go get one too. I am 9 pounds from my prepreg weight and it is coming off VERY slowly. I applaud you for doing weight training!

I'm just wearing mine from last year. I'm taking the "if you don't like it, don't look at it approach." However, we have our own pool so I won't be in front of as many people either.
