New to CD

Hi CD mamas,

 I'm Courtney, mom to 10 week old Gianna. DH and I are thinking about taking the plunge and CDing. We've been using disposables up until this point because DH wasn't convinced about CDing at first.

 I know very little about CDing and I was wondering if you ladies could answer a few questions for me

1) what was your start-up cost? 2) How many CDs do you have and how often do you do diaper laundry? 3) Pre-folds or inserts? What is your preference and why? 4) What is in your stash? What do you like/not like about your brands?? 5) Leaks? Blowouts?

 I really appreciate it! This whole research process is overwhelming.

 

Also, I have a friend who uses GMD prefolds? Anyone use them?

Start up cost really depends on what type of diapers you buy. If you aren't sure what you'll like try a diaper trial. You can try some different things and return what doesn't work for you.
