Oh DH....

So he broke the bad news to me the other day that pretty much we will have to move because of his job and no idea where to yet. I finally got on board with applying for Orlando, when the guy he was working with started telling him to hold off because I guess the staff there in Florida sucks and will be getting fired soon which means Tampa and Jacksonville will be opening up supposedly. I am not holding my breathe at this point. So now DH is thinking of not applying for Orlando  and seeing about Tampa and Jacksonville which we don't even know are options. Ugh. This is more torture than waiting to find out the sex of the baby.  And he is so eager to just move down there and I'm worried about hurricanes.  He has a year to find a job with the company now that he's done with the training portion.

He doesn't understand that if we get a job too late in the game, we will have to move after the kid is born. How do you move with a newborn when you are wanting to breastfeed? I can only imagine this being a nightmare...

  • You know it does kind of suck, but think of it this way- At least your dh has a job! And if you need to move with a newborn you just do what you have to do, life goes on, you just have to roll with it.

Good luck, everything will work out in the

  • Um, you need to calm down. People move with newborns all the time. My friend just moved cross country with newborn twins. You'll survive.

  • Totally blows about the move, but PP is right, EBF is tooootally easier to deal with when traveling. GL! I hope everything works out favourably!
  • We moved when DD was 4 months old. It happened very fast and was stressful but not as much because of the baby, but because of moving. You will be able to make it work no matter when it happens.

  • Thanks for the support. Its just nerve wracking not knowing when and where yet. Kind of important details so we can get the house on the market, I can start applying for jobs, I need to switch units in the military etc. So its hard to plan when you don

  • Oh I know, that is super stressful and even when you think it is sorted out it can be a huge pita, just try to go with the flow as much as you can. way easier said then done I know. When we moved our house literally sold in 3 days, we had no time to

  • We currently live in Jacksonville, and I love it here!  The hurricanes generally miss us because of the way the land curves on the coast.  We will get heavy rain, and some wind, but usually that is as bad as it gets.
