Success after IF

Official intro: "Hello!!!"

I wish I could intro earlier but It's been already 2 weeks since my little girl was born.  I am somewhat adjusting to the new life style, but there are still a lot of things to learn and we are doing many trial and error!

My angel is sleeping now so I should get some sleep but my mind is so awake regardless of how tired I am :(

Anyway, Haley is finally here!!  I tried to BF but it didn't work (she could only latch for 10 sec), so I am doing a hybrid of fomula and pump milk now.  She changes everyday and it's amazing.  We gave her a first bath yesterday and it was a success!

Here is the link to my birth story if you are interested in and I am so excited to finally be here!!!!      https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/72982815.aspx

p.s.  Haley can fall aleeps in my arm after eating but as soon as I put her down in the crib, she makes all kinds of noise and wake up.  Any advice??

Welcome and congrats! I second the swaddle before feeding. That way was so much easier. Though my little one really didn't sleep much during the day in those early days. It made life pretty hard. But, it gets easier and better!

Congratulations and welcome! Your LO is so young - just do what works as far as sleep. Hold her, cuddle her, rock her, wear her if you want your hands free, ... Eventually you will want to put her down sleepy but awake, but she is way too little to be abl

I'm so glad to see you here!  I would agree with everyone else who said to swaddle.  And even if she makes noise when in the crib, try rubbing or patting her back and make "shooshing" noises, but don't pick her back up.  You may be able to

Welcome!! So glad you made it over here! Being a (new)mama is hectic!

For tiny babies, it takes about 20 min to fall into deep sleep. So until about 3m baby will startle very easily or wake up if moved before deeply asleep.

    Congrats,
