Grocery shopping help

We've been out a few times, but only for small shopping trips. MH went back to work this week and I really need to go grocery shopping tomorrow and it'll probably be kind of a large shop. So, my question is, which way have you found works best for taking both kids? I'm thinking I can put the baby in the Ergo and toddler in the seat as usual, but other suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

  • When we went shopping at that age it was a mad dash to get out before DS lost his cool. I'd keep him in his infant seat and put him in the big part of the stroller and let my DD sit in the seat. It worked fine for me. I'd pile stuff around DSs seat and on

  • When I was on ML with my 2 kids, I would keep DS in his infant seat and put it in the main part of the cart.  I got one of the large carts with the little car on the front, and let my older DD sit in there and "drive".  Then I'd pile all the

  • If the store has any of the "special" carts (ones with a little car on it, ones with the extra plastic part in the back with 2 bucket seats, ect) I use those.  Your older one can ride in that, and the baby can stay in the carseat that would fit so

  • DD2 was very content to be in the Ergo during grocery shopping.  DD1 was fine in the cart at that age.  I just made sure to have the good snacks on hand incase DD1 got restless.

  • I avoid this scenario at all costs.  I'll go after the kids are in bed or on the weekends and DH is home, on my lunch break at work, or give DH a list.

  • I frequently make large shopping trips with both kiddos in tow. I personally like wearing the younger LO and then my older sits in the cart. SNACKS  are really important or even a visit to the bakery for a treat for my older one, makes the trip goe s

  • I've been shopping with both girls since they were born.  I've never had a problem.  I've always brought either a wrap (when she was younger) or the ergo for now.  I rarely have to use it, but I have it in case.  Now they are old enoug

  • That is what I did - baby in carrier (Ergo or Moby depending on age) and toddler in the cart.

My husband was deployed for 7 months while I had 2u2 so I got really good at this setup :).

  • I'm not going to lie...  I used the curb side pick up feature at our grocery store A LOT during the first year.  It costs $4.95 each time and it was well worth my sanity.

  • Baby goes in ergo or baby k'tan depending on age and other kids go in hte cart. I always park next to a cart return so I can grab one to get everyone in/out safely. We always get to much food and the 3 gallons of milk I get per week would never fit in
