TMI but i have to.. Monistat 7

So i went for my 33 week check up , baby is great but i on the other hand have a yeast infection. Ive never had one before and had no signs or anything. I was told to use monistat 7 and i did my first dosage a little while ago and my insides are itching! I wasnt itching before but now im totally uncomfortable. Has anyone had to use this before? Should I be concerned?

On top of all of this i have to pee and now im nervous its going to defeat the purpose of this medication. Really is this what my thoughts have come to?

Sorry for TMI but DH is asleep and i have no one to complain too ;)

  • Yes this has happened to me. It has felt like the medication activated the symptoms or something. It will get better! The medication coats the vagina so you won't defeat the purpose but going pee.

Did you read the directions? It could be the meds but if it's really bad you may be allergic....

You poor thing! Wheni used it it was so bad I left it in as long as I could then took a bath, the directions freaked me out, that's why I asked :)
  • I've had them before. You can pee, don't worry... As long as the little pill is high enough your vag muscles will hold it in. I never got itchy from it though. Not too sure what to make of that at all, I would carefully read the paper and if it's one of t

  • I can't use monistat or any of the standard OTC creams.  They make me feel like my insides are on FIRE.  For me, the treatment is way worse than a YI.  If the itching progresses to a burning feeling, let your doctor know.  They can pre
