Babies: 0 - 3 Months

first solids

so anyone have any tips on getting dc to like solids? my ds does not seem interested at all. he is sitting well, eyeing our food so i thought he would be interested he takes a couple of tastes and that is it!. maybe it's too early for him. my dd was around this age so i thought i would try. thanks.

  • I agree, our pedi told us to wait until 6 months before introducing any solids.
  • Probably too early. I'd back off and wait awhile. We just started a few weeks ago (at just past 6 months). The current recommendation really is between 4-6 months. No need to rush.

  • Like others said, it's too early. I just started mine on solids because he would drink 10oz and still be starving - but he wouldn't want the bottle. He loves his rice cereal. =)
  • yeah maybe it's just too early for him. he does down about 4 8oz bottles a day sometimes maybe another 4oz on top of that. do when your little one's were ready they just took to it righht away? i keep thinking if i keep trying he will catch on and like it. but i guess it's better not to push it.
