Quick question

Myself and the father do not have a good relationship and he is literally mentally unstable (txts and calls to tell me he will kill me and my family for taking his unborn child from him etc). My question is, should I file fore Sole Custody prior to this child being born with his obvious issues taken into account. Also when should I do that and how do I go about it. Thanks ladies!

i would advice it..i'd also suggest saving those text messages as evidence....

I agree with PP in that, although it sucks to forego child support, you are probably better off leaving a violent, crazy person off the birth certificate rather than trusting the courts to make the right decision. And save everything just in case.

Thanks ladies. I'm planning on leaving him off the birth certificate also. And he has been physically abusive the last year of our relationship, but there is no evidence to support that so I can't pursue it. Hopefully he'll realize he's becoming a parent

My cousin's baby's father was like this. I suggest giving your child ONLY your last name small but significant difference in court for some reason and keep all the texts. EVERY single one. Make sure you keep yours too and they're clean.
