Hi ladies, new to this board since my DD and DS turned 1 last week. Looking forward to hanging around
I have a question on morning routine...right now the kids don't go to daycare. They wake up anytime after 7am and usually play for a bit in the crib. Once I hear them fuss a bit I go in there to change their diapers/clothes and take them out for their morning bottle. From the moment DS starts fussing a little when I go in there, he just doesn't stop crying. Throughout the changing and even when I'm done with him I'll put him on the floor thinking he'd like to crawl around so then I can start changing DD. Do you think it's because he's really hungry or am I waiting too long to go in and grab him? DD can usually sleep longer but since they are sharing a room she ends up waking up too but the majority of the time, she is in a good mood. I don't enjoy the mornings and his crying is really loud and gets me frustrated really fast.
Any suggestions?
Also, at what age did you stop offering a morning bottle and go straight to breakfast instead? Right now they get a bowl of yogurt an hour after their morning bottle should we give them breakfast first and a bottle after?
Re: Morning routine question...
Thanks ladies, I thought maybe hungry and even thought to bring in his bottle with me but then figured if I'm trying to take away that bottle eventually it wouldn't help much.

Are you sure it's just not in his personality to wake up in a good mood? My kid is a great sleeper and gets enough of it but she rarely wakes up happy. It's scream until I bail her out and then it's like she has to find her bearings and get with it for
My guess would be that he's probably hungry. DS is the same way and stops crying as soon as he gets some food in front of him.
We stopped the morning bottle and went straight to breakfast the day we weaned him off bottles, so about 11.5 months. H
I think it's just that he's hungry. My one daughter will be fine in the morning but starts crying the second she sees me and wont stop fussing until her bottle is in her mouth.
Right now our routine is I go change my girls while DH ma
