Using Ergo while pregnant

The last time I carried DS (in front) I was about 10 weeks and I cramped afterwards... I got scared and said no more Ergo until baby #2 arrives. I have read that some people have in fact used the Ergo throughout pregnancy. HOW do you carry them?? On back? I carry low as it is and don't want to put pressure on the baby because it effects me (I am now 14 weeks and a little larger then before). I really would love to be able to carry DS this Fri at this place I go antique shopping and it is really hard to bring a stroller in there. Any advice?

I used my Ergo in the front until I was 26wks no problem but DD only weighs 19-20lb with clothing.  I can still wear her in the ring sling but only for short errands. Are you putting the ergo under your belly in the front and high in the back to supp

I can use the Ergo in front with my son for short bits.  He weighs 26lbs and I am currently 27 weeks.  I don't like having to use it at this point as it gets uncomfortable quickly but it works better than carrying the heavy bugger on a hip for l

I used it on the front until about 20 weeks when I was preg with DD2. Then I switched to the back. It was mostly comfortable, sometimes my back would hurt more then normal.

I'm pretty sure you can wear the Ergo as a side carry. I've never done it, but it may be easier and more comfortable. You could check it out on YouTube for a how to. Good luck!

I wear DD on my back with the waist strap above by belly. I'm 27w. She is about 24lbs and has disliked front carry for a while.

I stopped wearing DD2 on the front last week (24 weeks) but can still wear her on my back with no problems.  I just make sure the strap is under my belly.

I can still wear DS on my front or back with no problems. I'm 15 weeks and he's 24lbs. But I haven't gained much yet, maybe a pound. Hoping it stays comfy for awhile!!

I carried my DD (16 months old) on my back with the belt underneath my belly until 2 days before my due date! And I was huge and I put it on myself, so it can be done! Good luck!
