We are adopting internationally - a little boy who is 3 and is blind. We started our home study in January. We are now approved by US gov't. I have a couple papers to get apostilled (fancy sticker from the state) today and then I'll be mailing out the rest of our dossier to his country (dossier is the paperwork his country requires). We may be travelling middle to late May!!!!!!
Getting super excited and yet super nervous. I will be in country at least 4 weeks - husband will be with me for at least 2 weeks. If things go astray we could be there much longer - as many as 8 weeks. I have 5 little kids at home who will have to be watched by family. I am so excited to meet our new son but so sad to be gone from the other kids. All I want to do is get over there and bring him home!
