Please tell me if this sounds right or if you've ever heard of these circumstances!
My doctor says I have an extremely unfavorable cervix and my torso is too short for the baby to put pressure on my pelvis therefore I'm not dilating, thinning, etc. She also thinks that he is going to be too big for me to deliver vaginally. I don't know if she's just saying this as a convenience for her but she is 'sure' that even if I go into labor or even if they induced me, that it would 'fail'. Yes, she used the word FAIL. And I would have to have a Csection anyway for safety.. So I begged her to give me one more week and see if my body makes any progress, I have an appointment on Monday for that. If nothing has changed and he is still in the oblique position the Csection is scheduled for next Wednesday.
I will be 39 weeks on Friday. My blood pressure is great, baby's heartrate is normal, swelling is minimal, I have been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions with no results.. Can someone please give me some advice on what I should say to my doctor in regards to whether or not this is necessary? Thanks!
Re: C Section?????
Well I have a short torso, am not dilated or effaced one bit, and am having what looks like a big baby (9+lbs a week ago).... no talk of c section for me. I was the same way with DD (except she wasn't big), and I went from no dilation to labor in
My sister in law had a similar experience with her 1st. She has a really narrow pelvis and her OB recommended a C-section because even an if she had been induced he would have never come vaginally. She did go to 41 weeks to see if she would go into lab
