I don't know anything about CD!!

But am looking to learn more! DD2 will be here soon and I just can't get myself used to the idea of buying pampers again..spend $45 on a box of something that we will just be throwing in the trash?! How insane..and obviously the environment issue AND I love the thought of putting my baby in a diaper that is safe and chemical free.

So..where do I go from here? The other day they had Mon Petit Mardi diapers on mamabargains and I went on there site and it said the diapers are $31 for ONE diaper!! And it comes with 2 liners..wouldn't you need like 100 liners?! How many liners do you use in a day?

also..question since my DH is not super thrilled on the idea..but I'll be changing most of the diapers as I'm home with the kids..how does cloth diapering affect your electric bill since you are using the wash machine so much and even more so with extra rinses and hot water? I do have a clothes line I'd use to dry..

My first recommendation would be to go to YouTube and watch the cloth diapering 101 video series. There are seven videos, and she explains everything you need to know without a bias toward a brand. Also the Jillian's Drawers is a really good place to look
