Question for car seat Techs

I have a random question about aftermarket accessories.  I notice that Sunshine Kids (Diono) makes things like Mighty Tight and car seat grippers for seats that are obviously unsafe to use.  Why do they sell these?

They are sold because they are money makers. It sucks that these companies will write in their manuals that NO aftermarket products are safe but then go and sell them. It's even worse that stores like BRU, who I'm sure knows aren't safe, happily sells the

Because it's legal and until it is illegal they won't interfere with their own profit.

Edit: Some companies crash test their own accessories with their own products so they seem them "safe" if used together, but it isn't all companies.
