Need y'all's opinion!

My DH and I have been arguing/debating on what kind of stroller to get. I have a 3 year old son and this litte one/girl on the way. I was thinking I wanted a double stroller/ sit and stand one and my husband thinks it will be bulky, heavy , and not used at all. Granted with my DS we hardly used the stroller but I worked full time. Now I'll be a SAHM and will want to take walks , go to parks. My son is 3 and doesn't listen all the time so him walking beside me scares me because he likes to run. I know it sounds like I made up my mind but I truly want to know if its impractical or maybe other options I should consider. Please help! Thanks!

  • You could try "Bjorneing" the baby and keeping your son in the stroller. And hope that by the time the baby's too big to carry around on your front or back that your three your old is a little better at walking close. My three yr old is the exact same way

  • I'm a FTM but I'm considering the Britax B-Ready for this reason. If all goes according to plan and this baby doesn't scare DH away from having future kids :) then we'll have two in the stroller age at the same time. It's pricey, but most B&M store

  • I would mostly be on your DH's side for this one, but if you plan to walk a LOT and walk for a long time it could be nice to have the option of a double stroller. Do you still have the stroller from when DS was smaller? That can be your single stroller

  • I think a sit and stand would be perfect for you. Most 3 year olds love getting to stand up on the stroller rather than ride in it. They have a way to rest if they get tired but it's less restricting than being fastened in, which most toddlers hate. &n

  • DS will be just over three when this LO is born. I am having the same issue trying to decide our stroller situation. I think I'm going to try and find a used double BOB for as cheap as I can because the majority of the time I use the stroller now is to go

  • If it was me, I would save your money. We go on walks with my 3 year old all the time and rarely would he ever want to ride in the stroller. He much prefers walking. If you bought anything, then it would be a sit n stand, but I think I'm on your DH's side

  • Our boys are almost exactly 3 years apart and we loved the Sit n Stand. It's not bulky like a double stroller we had one of those for about 2 seconds, hated it and sold it. The Sit n Stabd folds up small and fits in my little Civic trunk and is easy to op

  • I babysit for a 5 year old and 3 year old and when I take them out that requires a lot of walking they both want the stroller and then fight over it and one ends up crying and whining. So even tho the strollers made for 2 are bulky they r nice to have in

  • We won't get a double stroller until after this one comes. I want to see if we actually need it.

  • My DS has hated being in a stroller ever since he outgrew his infant car seat.  When he was small, we loved going for long walks in the Bob, and I highly recommend a stroller like that if you plan to do a lot of walking with both kids.

  • When I had #2 I had both of these. My son was about 2 at the time. He also was a bolter...and bolt he did. I ended up getting rid of the sit and stand one.

I used a Graco double stroller. Not the ones that are side by side, but one

  • Thanks everyone for your input! What I'm now looking at is the Joovy Caboose Ultralight which is a sit and stand and only 21 lbs. for big trips to zoo or long walks. I also have an umbrella stroller I can use for my 3 year old and use the Bjorne carr
  • My mom used a leash type thing when I was 2.5 to 3 when my sister was born.
  • I plan on getting some form of a sit/stand stroller.  I have a 3 year old who listens pretty well and will walk close to me, then my 2 year old (she'll be 3 when LO comes) will be in the back of the stroller w/ the LO in the front part.  I

  • My opinion might not mean much since I work full-time but we aren't getting a double stroller. If we are at the store, DD will sit in the cart and LO2 will be in the basket in the car seat. Or if its a big shopping trip, I will wear LO2. If we are out som
