Scheduled csections

Re: Scheduled csections

  • I know at 37 weeks you are considered full term. My OB said she only schedules them in the 39th week. I've had my date for repeat csection since November I am having him May 6th actual due date is May 11th.

  • I don't think they will schedule one that early unless there is medical reason.  Everything I've heard is that for a normal, uncomplicated pregnancy they wait until at least the 39 week mark :)

  • Yeah, your scheduled for anytime after your 39w, unless there is a medical reason to do it sooner.

  • Mine is at 36 weeks, but only so early because of medical reasons and they were severe enough for us to come out this far from my EDD.

  • I knew I was going to have a RCS so the Dr scheduled it at like 28 weeks.
  • I am making the appointment at my 37 week check up but I wont go for the delivery until 39 weeks.
  • My doctor wanted to schedule my csection at between  37 to 38 weeks. But that was because I had previous surgery to my uterus and couldn't withstand labor so the csection had to be scheduled early enough that I didn't go into labor first.

  • I scheduled my c/s by like 7 months. Since I knew I was having c/s, I figured we could let our bosses know ASAP when we'd be taking off.
