Pillows and Poop

Ok I have two questions regarding.........pillows and poop.

When did you/are you going to put a pillow in your babies crib. I did this with both my boys but I can't remember when I did it or what experts are now saying about it.

Also, We are weaning to milk from formula and I now have her at 2 bottles a day, a morning one and a night one and they are 3oz milk and 2 oz formula. I also offer milk in her sippy before her afternoon nap which she takes. She is really constipated though since doing this. What do you do to aleviate this. She LOVES dairy products (yogurt, cheese ect) and she's back and forth on if she'll take juice. Any suggestions?

  • We recently looked into pillows just out of curiosity. From what I recall, they are not recommended until you transition LO to a toddler bed. Even then from what I read, your LO doesn't really need one at that point and is probably just fine without on

  • For the poop, does your LO do ok with a straw? If so you can make a "smoothie" with helpful fruits like peaches, pears, blueberries, and prunes. No bananas. Or you can feed it with a spoon.
For the pillow the pedi said no earlier than 18months and

  • almost every night my DD uses her blanket as a pillow instead of a blanket.  i find her with it under her head (as she sleeps on her belly butt in the air!  lol) all the time at night and have actually added a second blanket for the really chill
  • Our LO started using a pillow at 6 months. He loves smashing his face in something soft before going to bed so we put his pillow pet in his crib and he LOVEs it. He snuggles it and sleeps on it every night.
