Working mom vent

I apologize in advance for whining. But I feel so overwhelmed!
I started this job when I was 6 months pregnant, so I had barely learned much by the time I left on maternity leave. When I came back I pretty much had to relearn everything, plus everything that changed while I was gone.
Now my work is piling up. And I spend a good hour and a half of every work day pumping which doesn't help. Then I get home, spend an hour playing with E while MH cooks dinner... I know I'm lucky there! Then we eat and start bedtime routine. After I get her to bed, it's getting bottles and diapers washed and bag packed for day care. Dishes and lunch packed for me. Then it's bedtime, and get up at 5 to start all over again.
I feel like my work isn't getting done, my house hold chores are falling behind, and I barely see my daughter during the week. Weekends are so full of cleaning and laundry and grocery and everything that didn't get done during the week, and I feel like I'm slighting my wifely duties as well.
How do you do it all? What is ok to fall behind on? Does it ever get better? Or is this just the life of a working mom? Or am I just a huge unproductive baby who is doing it all wrong?

Sorry you're feeling this way! Being a mom is tough. I have great news, it gets better i promise. I used to be super controlling and OCD about chores but that flew out the window once DS came. I started to delegate some things to DH that he had never done

You aren't a baby at all! A friend and I were actually discussing the working mom conundrum yesterday. It would be exhausting! I'm getting ready to do it this summer, but my mom is watching J so I don't have to get her packed and delivered to daycare.&

You have a lot going on and I can say that it does take a while to get into a routine that really works for you.  And, even then, stuff happens and you need to find a way to go with the flow or it will drive you crazy.  Having a strong p

I can definitely say being a working mom sucks. I hate working. Im always only giving part of myself to everything. It is hard!!! I would give anything to be a SAHM.

Big hugs to you TJ.  It's so tough to be a working mom; I can't imagine the amount of work you have to do every day.  Don't be so hard on yourself.  I think you are having a harder time because you don't have family or good friends nearb

I just want to say that I totally feel your pain.  It's so hard and I feel like I'm never going to completely catch up.  It's only 8am, I've been at work for an hour and my eyes are already heavy!
