Pretty much freaking out here. I'm scheduled to have surgery for an extremely large (10cm) ovarian cyst. I'm in my second tri. I thought that I could convince them to perform the surgery under regional anesthetic, but it's a no go. My abdomen will be expanded up with CO2 so the surgeon can better visualize the structures, and this requires me to be under general anesthetic as I won't be breathing on my own.
Anyone out there undergo surgery while they were pregnant? I'd love to connect with you. Trying to relax, I know this state of constant nervousness isn't good for the baby- but it's just not happening.
