boba 3g vs. ergo for infant?

I was planning on getting an ergo with the infant insert, but the boba 3g looks like a great carrier. Ideally, I would like something that I can use from a few weeks after birth and onwards. I know the boba 3g says it has an infant configuration, but I would love feedback from anyone who has tried it. Thanks!

Re: boba 3g vs. ergo for infant?

  • I don't have any experience with the boba, but I used the Ergo with infant insert for a long time with DD bc she was so small. LOVE my ergo!

  • i used an ergo with an insert..my kid liked it and i think it was comfortable for me..but not so much for me coz it became bulky.. however once i stopped using the insert at 4 month  we both absolutely love it

  • I don't have personal experience with either, but one thing you might want to consider is that with the ergo the baby can only face inward.  In my experience, as babies get older and more curious, they like to face outward to see what is going on. &n

  • The Boba will work fine while the infant configuration works but there is a stage after that is too small where the normal us too big for most babies so from 36 months as its wider than the Ergo.
Forward facing isn't a feature if these carriers as i

  • I am short and found preference in the beco Gemini (also good for infant to 35lb).  I tried the boba 3G on and it was also very comfortable.  The ergo was not a great fit for me.
