I don't like the idea of Sam as a NN. Also I am an Alyssa. It is a pretty name and I was the only one growing up in a large town. I knew a few Samantha's.

Samantha gets my vote. Alyssa seems very 80's to me and I loved my american girl doll Samantha growing up
