Linea Nigra and gender???

Hopefully no one else has posted this before. I was reading today, and found a new (at least to me) wive's tale.  Apparently if your linea nigra runs from your pubic area to your belly button, it's a girl! if it runs beyond your navel into your ribs, it's a boy! I haven't heard of this one before, so I'm curious to know if this proved to be true for any of you? I'm a FTM, so of course I've done every wives tale in the book and of course the results have all varied my line isn't dark enough to say. How about you?

I'm also a FTM who just heard this old wives tale. I have a faint line that runs between my pubic bone and belly button, and I'm having a girl. Looks like I'm in the 50 percent that this one works for. Lol!

I barely had one last time and what there was of it ran just to my belly button. I had a boy.

I had one last time that went all the way up from panty line to belly button and it was a boy. It hasn't shown up again yet, but this one is a boy as well.

I have actually always had one. Every since I was a teen. In fact a girl spread a rumor that I was pregnant because I stretched and my shirt went up and she tod everyone it was a pregnancy line. Of course I wasn't pregnant and it's a birthmark line I supp

With DS mine didn't show up until close to the end and it only ran from my pubic area to my belly button.

Not at all true. Mine goes from pubic bone to bottom of belly button and we are having a boy.

I have darker skin so my line was really noticeable. With my first it ran all the way up through my ribs, which they say is a sign of a boy. Sure enough it was a boy. I am now on the second pregnancy, still early and i am starting to see the line but it only goes half way, girl maybe?

Mine ran from right under my boob to down near my pubic bone. So yes, it was right for me.

Honestly, this is just another meaningless OWT. I'm African American and people with darker skin are more prone to having the linea negra.

I have just researched this as my linea nigra is very dark (apparently only darker skinned women get it darker lol) and if it runs from your pubic area to your belly button then it's a girl if it runs further up to your ribs then it's a boy! However it is said to be an old wives tale but doing some research alot of women said the exact same thing!
