Need help choosing, baby carrier

Hi evryone,

Just looking for some thoughts choosing a carrier. I am looking at the ergo and beco gemini.

A little background, this is baby #3, my first daughter was born with hip dysplasia and was braced 24/7 for 6 months. My son was born with perfect hips.  We are now expdcting amother girl and she has a high risk of dysplasia because a sibling has had it......therefore the ergo and beco are my top choices based on how the legs are splayed once in the carrier.  I am leary about the newborn insert of the ergo and really like the look of the beco, but am looking for some personal reviews.......

I used a wrap with my son and wasnt a huge fan, and cant use a sling, again due to hip positioning......thanks

  • I would actually advise against a buckle carrier if you are worried about hips - if baby does need a brace, only a buckle carrier that has a cinching bottom to allow early legs out will work.  The ergo for example requires newborn baby to be legs in

  • I can't speak to the hip issue, but I LOVE my Ergo Performance.  My chunky monkey weighs 24 pounds and once I figured out the correct placement for the Ergo it feels like he weighs nothing.  My husband loves wearing the Ergo too which is a bo

  • My daughter has hip dysplasia and wears a brace and we use the ergo and love it.  When she was smaller we used it with the insert (her legs didn't dangle, but there was more than enough room for them to sit inside the insert on the sides of the pillo
