One & Done: Only child

Between tantrums, DH and I took a walk to North Park with DD this weekend. It is super adorable!

I know your LO isn't school aged, yet, but are you planning on doing public school in the neighborhood? If so, is there a school you like?

We're still renting and the plan is to eventually move two blocks south so DD could go to Waters but that puts us in Ravenswood Manor, which might be out of the price range. So, we're looking into some alternatives.

  • Thanks for the tips. We're in Budlong right now and that's a no-go for me.

    DH wanted to consider private, until we read up on Waters. We could either rent in the neighborhood or buy a small condo there in a few years, if it came down to it.&nbsp

  • I would actually take Waters over Evanston.  Evanston public schools are okay, but Waters has strong results and have a really committed community/family presence.  They also have a lot of addition programs that they bring in. 
  • And definitely no to Budlong...although that weird polyhedron/climbing thing in their playground looks fun!
