hates napping

Anyone else's LO almost 1 and still hates napping?  He basically refuses but I know he needs one, I let him CIO for a while but he won't go down.  When I get him he will play for a while and then eventually falls asleep in my arms but he is way past when he should have gone down.  Sleeping at night is no problem but the naps are still killing me!  He has been having major separation anxiety so not sure if that is contributing although you would think it would affect at night too.  Just needed to vent!
