Shoes

My LO is 10 months and hates when I put shoes on him. He is learning to walk and takes about 6-8 steps at a time.  He wears a size 5 I am assuming since the two pairs of 4.5 we have are too tight.I have 2 pairs of Robeez size 5, but they slip off his heel.  One is velcro and I tighten it but they still off.  Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions???

 He is a big boy (25lbs) so don't think he has narrow feet or heels.  I have another pair of Target shoes that fit, but he hates them and rips them off and they are harder to walk in.  Any suggestions of recomondations to keep his shoes on? I hate to buy another pair, since I bought two pairs of Robeez, but could always buy a different brand to see if any other brands work better.  Any other brands you like that may stay on better that are soft soled?

Go to Stride Rite and get him measured to be sure. They'll help you pick something based on his level of walking and fit him correctly. Sometimes fat or narrow feet don't fit well into certain shoes but a professional measure will identify that for you.<b

Is there a reason he needs to wear shoes? the pedi told me that unless he is out (and even then) shoes aren't really necessary yet. As they are learning to walk it is better for them to be bare footed, so they have better feeling to balance when they a

Thanks everyone! I will go to stride rite this weekend. He has been barefoot (in socks) since he has been pulling himself up since 6 months and anytime he is inside. Now that we are going to be playing outside more due to spring being here I am not going
