Hello All ![]()
I am coming over from the high risk pregnancy board.
We conceived through IVF and started having problems almost immediately with bleeding. I was put on modified bed rest starting at 5 weeks along. At 23 weeks 1 day I had to have an emergency cerclage placed to close my cervix. At 29 weeks I started having weird discharge. Fortunately with the 23 and 29 week excitement I was given steroids and magnesium sulfate.
Eve was born Friday night at 30 weeks 1 day weighing in at 3 pounds and 3 ounces. She is breathing on her own and with the exception of being tiny she is doing well.
She will be in the NICU for a while. Hopefully it will be a very uneventful and boring part of her journey.
I would love any advice or tips y'all have for coping and managing while you have wonderkid hanging out under an incubator . I have 3 other children but they were all big healthy full term giants. This is unfamiliar territory for me.
