Belly or back

I'm just now transitioning dd into her crib and whenever I check on her she's on her belly with her face down into the mattress and it scares me to death!!! I turn her head and she keeps going back. What do I do.

My DD was a horrible sleeper, I tried putting her on her belly and she now sleeps longer stretches. I agree let her sleep on her belly if she is comfortable.

My 6.5 month old does the exact same thing.  She'll put her hands under her face but still be face down.  It scared me to but I know she's at that age if she couldn't breathe she'd move her hands.  When she had her cold and couldn't breath
