Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a bit but I continue to lurk. Congratulations to those who've had some success and hugs to those who need them. Our fourth IUI was a bfn. The third one was a c/p. So far, I'm taking this BFN OK and we are planning on taking at least a cycle off.
So here's my dilemma: On July 1st my insurance changes due to change of jobs. My current insurance covers 1/2 of one lifetime IVF. New insurance has no IVF coverage (but does cover at some percent 6 IUIs). If my insurance weren't changing, I would definitely be planning on trying more IUIs before IVF b/c the c/p gives me some hope - but I'm wondering should I take this opportunity to get one IVF in at 50% coverage? I'm also aware that even if we try to get an IVF cycle in before July 1 any number of things could happen to delay/cancel it. Any thoughts to help me and DH think through this one?
Re: IUI #4 = BFN WWTTC do?
If you've done 4 IUI I feel that's a solid effort and if your current insurance covers 1/2 of IVF I would totally give it a go.
That's what I would do..... Good luck !

If it were me personally I would do the IVF. Although it is more expensive, even with 50% coverage, the success rates are also significantly higher than with IUI. I would jump at the opportunity to have any IVF coverage at all. If you we

Thanks everyone for the replies and support so far. It's giving me and DH a lot to think about. In addition to the money, I am scared about the impact of IVF on my body/mind. I guess another option for me (I think) would be to COBRA my current ins
