Hello. My family has a cat. We've had him since he was 2 days old. He's an indoor cat, has hardly been outside, only when he's escaped and very few times has stayed a whole nite out if we couldn't get him. I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and his litter box is in the bathroom which is small. I'm not the one cleaning the litter but my question is it better to find our cat another place to live until I deliver my baby? I've read that pregnant women can get toxoplasmosis which is very harmful to the pregnancy. This is freaking me out. We love our cat. Somebody/anybody advise please?!
Re: Anyone have a cat?
I have a cat and if some else cleans the litter I think the risk of contracting is very small. When I was PG with my DD we had two inside kitties and I was fine then also. Have you talked to your Dr?
GL it's a tough

I have three, one more than I wish I had but I love them all. You do not have to worry about contracting it by just petting your cat, Its not that easy to get and is extremely rare for indoor cats to have it. My Dr. said to just have DH change the litt

My nice answer is no, don't get rid of your cat. I lived with my cat in small places throughout both of my pregnancies and my boys are fine. Just don't change the litter.
