How long after your c section did you have something holding the incision together? My staples were removed on day 5, and now I'm due to take the steri strips off on day 12. Is this normal? The nurse gave me extra strips that I'm thinking about putting on after taking the first set off. I just feel like it's gonna be so...exposed...and so much easier to bust open without anything holding it together!

    My staples were on until the day I left the hospital and my steri strips were on for awhile... like maybe 3 weeks? Eventually I cut each end to shorten them until they fell off or I pulled them off.

    My staples were taken out on day 3 and I had the steri strips on until they fell off on their own (per doctor) which was about 1.5 weeks later.  no issues :)

    My staples were removed the day I left the hospital.  The nurse said the steri strips should fall off on their own.  (Nope.)  If they didn't, she said to remove them around 2 weeks.  That's what I did, and I didn't have any problems.

    maybe a belly binder might make you feel more secure?  I didn't have staples this time around..only steri strips and I helped them off at 2 weeks.

    A lot of the steri strips were still holding on after 2 weeks so I just took them off. The staples come out 5 days pp before I left the hospital.

    My staples were removed one week after my C-section and then the strips were put on in their place. They stayed on over a week before the last one fell off.

    I have stitches on the inside and had steri-strips on the outside.  My OB pulled them off after 5 days because I was having an allergic reaction to them.
