My mom just dropped one off for Rosie. She didn't get the candy (she gets too hyper), she wasn't allowed the fake earrings and rings, and the rest of it broke within 2 minutes. Literally. Not impressed at all.
The only ones I've noticed seem to be filled with overpriced junk. I think it's easy to find more personal items cheaper, but it's the thought that counts, I suppose.
We went through the Dollar Spot at Target to get goodies for DDs basket. It was probably a lot cheaper than what the premade basket would have cost. Plus, like others have said, I think it's fun to pick out the stuff for the basket.
I also prefer to make my own, but like most everyone else, I wouldn't judge someone for going this route.
I did see some really cute pre-made ones at Cracker Barrell, but I guess that's a little bit different.

I don't care for them. I'm sure there are nice ones out there but the standard grocery store Easter basket is generally full of candy and crappy toys. I'd rather go light on the candy and buy some quality stuff.
NMS. It takes the fun out of it for me. I love occasions like Easter and Christmas where I get to pick items I know DS needs, and as he gets older, items I know he really wants.
