We want to name our baby something unusual, nature based My name is Ashley, blah.

I like Bear for a boy and names like Haven for a girl.

What do you think and do you have any other suggestions?

Bear is a little too out there for my tastes, but I do like Magnolia, Iris (and several other flower names), Wren, Clementine, Sage and Winter for girls. For boys, the only one I can think of right now that is ok is River.

I'll be honest... "Bear" seems likely to get your kid bullied.  Have you considered looking for names that have "bear" in the meaning?  A quick search brought up a few for me just now, including Arthur, Bernard, Espen, and Mahon.
