When to tell

I'm a bit over 4 weeks.  I have told my sisters and best friend, but plan to wait until around 12 weeks to spill the beans to everyone else.  I have dinner plans with an old co-worker/friend and old boss/friend tonight.  I don't see them that often, and they were so supportive while we worked together and I confided in them about our IF struggles.  I know it's ultimately up to me and DH when to tell, but I would really like to share this news with them tonight.

 

Am I crazy for sharing so early?

This is a really personal decision. My response will be affected by my prior experiences. I have had previous m/c at 12 weeks and 9 weeks. During my first pregnancy we started telling around 10 weeks. We had a great u/s at 8 weeks and thought we were safe

It's so hard to keep a secret like this when you are SO excited about it!  I totally understand.  I also agree that it's a very personal decision.  

I told my parents immediately, however we waited to share the news with my in-laws

I also had a later mc, and were absolutely shocked and devastated to find out after having great us previously with a strong hb. With E, we told family at 9 weeks, our best friends at 12, and didn't tell public till we found out the sex at 19 weeks.
