You know...why do I bother...  MH says he wants to help out with feeding LO at night and when I wake him up, he says okay, but never gets up.  So I'm sitting here pumping at 3:30 in the morning and then I have to go get LO and feed her, which means I'll be up until about 5:00.  ( LO has to sit up for 20-30 minutes due to severe acid reflux or I'll be jumping up to clean up vomit.  I work as well.). Then tomorrow I'll get the whole sob story, oh I should have gotten up to help you, I'm so sorry, etc.   Don't get me wrong, he does get up about 5 days in the week. It's just the other 2 days I hear the sob story.  Even when he takes the baby to his MIL on my day off so I can sleep in, he doesn't get that I CAN'T sleep in. Getting more than 4 hours of sleep at a time is beyond me.  I'm so engorged by then that sleeping is impossible, so I have to drag myself out of bed, sit for 30 minutes hooked up to a machine, then put away the milk and wash everything before I go back to bed.  Not exactly conducive to "sleeping in".  GRRRRRRR!!

So sorry. Reflux is one of the worst things in the world! DH can be a big baby about sleep and stuff and we are expected to operate on only a few hours. Double standard. I feel like I have to coddle him when he actually gets up to help. Big hugs to you! W

Yeah we have kinda the same general issue. He says he meant to do this or that, but apparently never has time. He had LO today while I was at work, and when I got home I asked what he got accomplished. He didn't do anything! Meanwhile I have LO every

Holy cow I am jealous. MH has fed LO during the night exactly TWICE since he was 2 weeks old and we EFF so it aint that hard. I can count on one hand how many times I have gotten to sleep in since he was born. I am not trying to discredit your issues but

The rule in our house is- either do it or don't bother to offer. Making promises that you don't really intend to keep just causes trouble for everyone. I had to bring this issue up with my BF recently and it helped to just lay it out very simple and clear

So...he gets up 5 days out of the week but because he doesn't get up the other 2 you aren't happy? And he takes the baby to your MIL house so you can have some time alone on your days off, and you STILL aren't happy?
