Drunk crap

So I followed the advice in the FFFC thread and went out for some drinks...

lol.

The Director guy never showed but did go to lunch. So a few of us from the team still went.out. I had a beer with one guy, whiskey with another... before.I knew it I was doing Jaeger bomb after Jaeger bomb.

Some people from other teams showed up so I drank with them.... I think I may have said some derogatory things about upper mgmt. I dont know.

I hardly drink ever so this ended me. I remember on guy asking me.not to curse so I apologized.and didn't... so I wasnt a total ***.

But literally I remember getting there... a few embarrassing moments... and then my wife coming to pick me up.

I am embarrassed now. These were people i work with. I never.drink and clearly this showed I cant handle alcohol. Crap.

I don't even want to go to work Monday to face everyone. I am ultra ashamed.

Oh.and somehow I lost my badge to buzz in and out of work. Great.

Should I apologize to people on Monday? Or just not bring it up?

Know your limits, man. And Jaeger bombs are never a good idea unless you're a college kid.

If you weren't belligerent or insulting, you don't really have to apologize.  You could privately approach anyone and say something

We've all been there. My first real drink fest after tiny, I got so drunk at my friends birthday. I stumbled out of the bar, puked, walked back in and called her a stick with big tits. Then I fell over.

That sounds about right for me too. First time getting drunk with coworkers after Rosie. It was New Years Eve and I got wasted. However, I was not the one getting naked and walking into a room full of her daughters teenage friends. That was my coworker. P

The only person I would apologize to is perhaps the person who asked you to stop swearing, it sounds like they thought you went too far.

Yikes. I would avoid the subject all together on Monday. As PP have said, it happens to everyone. I haven't really gone out full fledged since DS was born, but I'm fully anticipating behavior on my part similar to this when it does happen.

Yikes. That first time out is rough. With DS, we decided to day drink, so we were at home, just us, but I got so drunk I was scared to hold DS. Limits change when you go that long, yo.

Don't bring it up. If someone else does, just say "Sorry, man

I agree to not bring it up. I've definitely been "that person" at a work party when I was younger though, so I know how you feel.

This story reminds me of my husband's line he uses all the time on his younger coworkers around the holidays..

I would just blame the whole thing on the b*tches from TB who told you to go out when you wanted to stay home with YW and DD. I can only imagine what your wife must have thought when you called to have her come pick you up.
