Swaddling for naps?

Does anyone swaddle during naps? It seems that it's the only way I can get him to nap besides in my arms. Anyone else swaddling for naps? Is it ok to do this?

I never did/ do because I reserved it for nighttime in an effort to promote longer sleep. It seems to work for my kids.

We swaddle at night and for DD's long nap that she takes in the late morning. If I don't swaddle her, she wakes herself up very quickly with her flailing arms. I'm hoping she grows out of that soon.

Swaddling for DD's long daytime nap hasn't affected her nighttime sleeping at all. She generally STTN and still takes a 2 to 2.5 hour nap around lunchtime while swaddled.

We swaddle for every nap and at nighttime. It never messed up nighttime stretches with my other two kids when we did this, and it hasnt so far for LO#3. If we didnt swaddle she would probably take forever to get to sleep and then only nap for like 20 min

We have actually stopped swaddling entirely because E just gets to dang hot! But if it works for your LO, then by all means, do so! Sleep for babies is just as important as the break for Mommies! <img src="https://community.thebump.com/cs/emoticons/emotion

DD sleeps much better swaddled so we swaddle anytime she sleeps lying down. About half of her naps are swaddled in her crib and half are in the stroller or carrier. Nap swaddling has NOT affected her nighttime sleep at all. She still sleeps seven hours st

I would say that depends on your LO. I swaddle DS for all sleeps, otherwise he wakes himself up... However, my son naps very lightly naturally. His daytime sleeps are short, restless and often he will only nap with his soother in his mouth. Night time he

I swaddle for naps for the same reason. She will only sleep unswaddled if someone is holding her. And even then she has a hard time staying asleep.

I also swaddle DS every time he is going to sleep. He is very energetic and will pop himself in the face if I don't!

I don't swaddle for naps and DD is ok with it. She mostly takes several shorter naps throughout the day, which has been ok for us. I think if I were to put her down in her crib or somewhere flat I'd have to swaddle her to keep her asleep for more than
