Contractions?

I'm 34 weeks. I was woke up by a horrible pain, almost like dieherra like cramps. Nothing helped I sat on the toilet and did have a Bm but still every 810 mins had horrible cramps I took a shower and relaxed they eventually went away... Was this Braxton hicks? They lasted a little over a hour. 4am5am. Should I call my midwife?? This will be my first child!

Sounds like it to me. Probably a good idea. And put your feet up and drink water!

I don't know but I have not had what you describe.  Once in awhile I will get cramps but not consisently like that.  I have had the tightening that I think is the BH's.  Anyway yes I would call just in case.  Good luck!

That is exactly what my labor was like except the contractions didn't become very regular until about twelve hours into labor.

I would call, because BH contractions are usually not regular like that.  They're more like an occasional "squeeze".  What you describe sounds more like the start of labor, but it's good that it stopped on its own.  If it happens again I wo
