Cycles after Salingectomy

Ladies,

I had my left tube removed in Dec 2012 after finding out I had paratubal disease (a cyst had grown to 8cm in diameter and was growing through the wall of my tube and causing torsion).  After the surgery, my period staretd to be 38 days apart (previously was 30-33 day cycles).  Now my cycle is 43 days apart and I'm nervous it's going to stop all together.  I also have PCOS and am on Metaformin to treat it (which has been constant throughout because it's baby safe since we've been trying to conceive for 18 months).  Anyone else have super irregular cycles after removal of one of their tubes?

 My dr said just to relax and let me body continue to heal, but wondering if anyone had any insights?
