I am really apprehensive to BF and at this point don't think it'll feel natural to me, although I know it is. Did anyone else feel this way and actually enjoy BFing? Did it take awhile or did you know it would be your think right after trying it?

Re: Anyone apprehensive about BFing and ended up really enjoying it?
I really wanted to BF but was worried about what might go wrong.
Honestly, they first week-10 days was ROUGH! It hurt, was awkward (for both of us!).
However, now I love it... it is so easy, the bond is incredible. This might sound selfish but I look at how much she has grown in the past 4 months (omg... she is almost 4 months) and think, that is totally because of me and my milk.
It isnt for everyone though and I understand that.
i was! ?i was extremely concerned about the whole going back to work aspect.?
i am so glad i did it. ?and yes, i would say i took to it right away, although we had ?rough patch at 3 weeks and again at 6 weeks (mastitis and growth spurts).?
the best part about it is this: ?after being gone at work all day, i get to come home and sit down on the couch with my beautiful little boy and watch him eat. ?and now that he is a bit bigger, he will stop and smile up at me and stare at me. ?it is hands down the best part of my day.?
I can't speak for myself ( I was excited about BFing)
but... Mrs.West (I don't know if she is around anymore) thought she wanted to formula feed, but she changed her mind when the baby came and now is nursing her baby.
I was concerned about it being painful. It was at first, but lanolin (sp?) really helped. I put it on a few times a day in the beginning. I was really sold on bfing when we went to our two month pedi appointment and found out the ds is 13 lbs 11oz! It was nice to know that he is thriving so well.
My advice is to try to make it to 8 weeks. Most of the pain is gone by then and the baby is a faster feeder.
