Spotting After Internal (TMI?)

I have a cervical check on Monday and I was spotting pretty heavily after (first time it's happened) and then I continued to have brownish red tinged discharge on pantyliner's for the rest of this week. I wouldn't think that it would have still been continuing from the cervical check on Monday AM but could it have been mucus plug type discharge? Nothing big passed and it was more watered down. Obviously I would contact my Dr. if I was worried but I'm more curious than anything.

    Good to know, I was 1.5 on Monday so maybe it's already gone.

    I had my internal today and Ive had a lot of spotting!  bright red  I knew spotting was normal after a cervical check but the bright red part scared me... it was a lot at first but its lightened up and slowed down now.

    2cm and 75% thou

    I had an internal today and starting spotting a few hours later.  This is the first time I've seen any color but assume its normal.  I am  2cm dialated and 70% effaced - so i'll take it all as a good sign!

    It's totally normal once you start to dilate.  When you start dilating, the blood vessels in your cervix pop easier.
