2nd Trimester

Nt scan results

I called today and got the results.  The down's was 1 in 4,000 and trisomy was 1 in 18,000.

Is that a good down's result?  I don't really know what to compare it to, and dr. google isn't giving me much.

I'm 27, and don't have a family history.

I know that I still need to do more lab work later in the second tri.

Re: Nt scan results

  • Yes, those are very good.

I'd say anything less than 1:200 is what is concerning.

     Congrats!

  • I'd say so! 1 in 4,000 is .025 percent. I'd take those odds.

  • Thanks for responding.

I knew the 1 in 18,000 was pretty good, but I really didn't know about the 1 in 4,000.

Now I can relax a little.
