Were any of you told to wipe your baby's tongue? No one said anything to me until yesterday. I have read mixed answers when I googled it.

I've never heard of wiping their tongue.

I've only ever wiped it to check for thrush, which both kids have gotten.

Are you bfing?  Either way (bf or ff) white tongue can be a sign of thrush.

Wiping the tongue is a way to sometimes tell the difference between thrush and a benign tongue coating. Thrush cannot be wiped off.

I've read that it's good to wipe out baby's mouth (gums/tongue) daily.
