We have an 11 month old male kitten that we found and adopted back in August. So far he's been the sweetest kitten ever. He's super cuddly and loves playing with us. Up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago he's been especially cuddly with me, always sitting next to me on the couch, sleeping on my side of the bed, snuggling on my belly, etc. However, recently he has begun to attack me...and it's pretty intense. At first it was just biting my legs when I walk by, but now he actually gets into the ''predator'' position low to the ground with his ears back, and just jumps at me and bites me really hard. And it happens so randomly, too. For example, he can be sitting next to me purring like crazy while I'm petting him, and then all of a sudden he'll grab my hand and start biting and scratching me, and then he'll just jump up and try attacking my face. It's REALLY scary when he does this!
He never does that to my husband or anyone else and he seems to be healthy otherwise [eating and pooping normally, has all of his shots, etc.] Do you guys think he's just sensing the hormones? Or maybe he's jealous? I feel like we give him plenty of love and attention. Has anyone else noticed similar behaviors in their pets, and cats in particular?
Re: My cat keeps attacking me!
I have a male cat that seemed to go through a phase like this. It lasted a couple months and then he seemed to calm down. He would bite me and attack my hands (he loved biting my toes). He was about the same age your cat is. Could just be an age thing,

We had the unfortunate experience to lose a few kitties in the past few years, and subsequently have raised a few kittens to recently adulthood too.
Anyway, every single cat we've had goes through this phase between 10 and 16 months where t
