Uterine Polyps

Hi Ladies -

I had a 3D ultrasound this morning (don't remember the technical term). A mmc was discovered last month at 18 weeks and I've been looking for answers. Although the chromosome testing came back as Trisomy 21, that answer wasn't good enough for me since there are a lot of babies who can be carried to term. 

Anyway, I was told at my HSG last August that was my ute was Y shaped, so I've been exploring this now. The doctors don't *think* I have a septate but aren't 100%. I do, however, have "quite a few" polyps that are a good size. So, I'm going to be having a hysteroscopy to remove these and some scar tissue (probably from the d&e). They are also going to verify that I do not have a septate.

Just wondering if anyone has had experiences with this...any success stories. Pretty much anything :) TIA!

DX: Hypothyroidism (2004) & Possible PCOS (2/2012)
CD3 b/w: Elevated LH:FSH ratio HSG: All clear! Y-shaped Uterus; SA: Normal
Round 1 of Clomid (50mg) 8/28-9/1: BFP!
BFP #1: 9/23/12 Edd: 6/4/2013. M/C 9/28/12 @ 4w4d
Round 2 of Clomid (100mg) 10/3-10/7: BFP!
BFP #2: 11/3/12 Edd: 7/16/2013. mmc discovered at 18w2d (our baby girl stopped developing at 15w3d due to Down's Syndrome). d&e 2/15/13
3/28/13: "quite a few" uterine polyps and scar tissue discovered.
Hysteroscopy (4/16/13): Polyps, Scar Tissue removed. Septate confirmed & removed.
Appt with new RE 5/30/13
Surprise BFP (with no treatment!) 6/30/13
Our perfect little boy was born 3/11/14 - 9lbs 2oz, 21 1/4"

    I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know much about success after polyp removal, but I did have a small uterine fibroid and was told that it was probably interfering with conception and also that it would've increased risk of mc or pregnancy complications i

    So sorry for your loss:-( No specific experience, but wanted to wish you the best! Hope the surgery clears up everything!

    I had a hysteroscopy to remove polyps earlier this month. It was easy peasy! Mine was done in a surgicenter under general anesthesia. Took about an hour. Pain wasn't too bad, cramping for sure. Nothing I couldn't manage with motrin and toradol. I ha

    Me:29 DH:29  TTC since 1/11 Dx: unexplained IF/early DOR/immune issues 
    Feb'12- July'12-testing(all clear minus slight arcuate ute), 3 IUI with clomid all BFN
    8/30IVF#1 Antagonist protocol- ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F. 
    ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
    IVF#2 Antagonist protocol plus baby aspirin- ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
    ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
    3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy, Consulted w Dr. Kwak-Kim.  
    DX: High NK cells, cytokines, DHEAs& PAI1;  hypothyroid, +APA, restricted bloodflow
    7/13 IVF#3 Long lupron protocol with PIO, Crinone, Prometrium, and vivelle
    (plus synthroid, metformin, baby asa, metanx, PNV, Vit E, D, calcium, fish oil, CoQ10, IVIg infusions and lovenox per Dr. Kwak-kim)
    ER 7/19 14R, 11M, 9F(4 natural fert, 5 with ICSI)

    First i am so sorry. I had a complete septate uterus and i have had polyps removed 3 times and 3 septum resections. IMO and experience I do not believe polyps would cause a miscarriage that late in the pregnancy. A septum can though. I have heard a septum

    Married 11/27/09 and TTC right away
    Dx: Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication, endometrial polyps, PCOS, endometriosis, hypo thyroid, luteal phase defect
    4 uterus surgeries to correct my complete septum and to remove polyps and 2 years of seeing the RE, medicated cycles and IUIs
    Baby 1 and 2: BFP 3/3/11 with 2 babies EDD 11/1/11, M/C 4/6/11
    Baby #3: 8/11 pregnant EDD 4/27/11 and m/c:(
    Baby #4: 10/12/11 BFP! EDD 6/16/12m/c 10/26/11
    Baby #5: 3/13/12 BFP! EDD 11/25/12 ANOTHER m/c :(

    Baby #6: 2/14/13- BFP! EDD 10/24/13, CP 2/19/13
    Baby #7: 3/15/13- BFP! EDD 11/27/13, another CP
    Baby #8.  BFP 5/19/13 EDD 1/22/14. 8 was not our lucky number

    4th septum resection on 5/31/13.
    Baby #9: 6/29/13 BFP. C section scheduled for March 5th!

    My miracle baby was born March 5 at 9:33am. He was 8 lbs 12.5 oz and 21.25 inches long!
