How big is your baby?

So does everyone know how big their LO is yet? I went to the specialist the other day and they told me she weighs 4 pounds 8 ounces and is in the 46% tile range. I did however get upset because when people at work asked me if I knew how big she was yet and I told them - they said enjoy having an 8 and a half pound + baby. Is her weight bad for 33 weeks?

Re: How big is your baby?

  • Last Wednesday my LO was estimated to be 5lbs 1 oz. The doctor reminded me this is just an estimate and not to get too worried about his size based on US predictions.

  • Last week they estimated 4lb 15oz at the ultrasound.

  • I had an ultrasound yesterday and baby weighed in at 6lbs 10oz.  He's in the 75th percentile.  DH and I aren't worried as our first child was born at 10lbs 2 oz.  We make big babies lol!

  • At my 29wk U/S they estimated him to be 3lb9oz. So now I am pretty sure he is weighing a good 5lbs. They are just estimates that can easily be off by 1 to 2lb either way.

  • Why would having a good sized baby be upsetting?

I don't know how big my little one is now at 32 weeks but the growth ultrasound I had at 27 weeks estimated her at 3lbs.

  • At 33 weeks on the dot my little girl was weighing in at a estimated 5 pounds, I wouldn't worry too much about it, I think that put her in the 63% which is fine with me since 50% is measuring perfectly with their EDD and we have been measuring at lea
  • At my last ultrasound on Monday, baby was estimated to be 4lb 11oz. He or she is on the small side. My MFM said this one will more than likely be smaller than my DD, who was alb 1 oz at birth (39w4d).

  • Mine was estimated 4 lbs and 13 oz at 32 weeks.  I was very happy that she is growing and is hopefully going to be a good size.  I don't think there's anything wrong with an 8 and a half lb baby.  </spa

  • First of all, no your baby's weight is practically spot on with the avg baby or 50%.  Second, DD was born 8 lbs 6 oz and it was relatively easy...as easy as giving birth is.  If they aren't OBs, I wouldn't worry about what ot
