Late Term and Child Loss

Conceiving after a C-section

My Dr recommended I wait 12-18 months before trying again, since I had a c-section. The idea of waiting that long is excruciating! We just want so badly to have our baby. To go thru all this & not have a little baby @ the end is BEYOND disappointing. If it were up to me, We'd start trying right away, but she said I have to allow my uterus time to heal. Has anyone else heard this? Has anyone conceived before 12 months after having a c-section? I'm all about being safe & avoiding uterine rupture...but is this time frame the absolute final word?

I conceived my daughter 10 months after delivering my son by csection. I went into preterm labor and ended up delivering her early at 35 weeks 6 days because my uterus was rupturing at the incision site. She died 28 hours later, most likely as a result

I was told to wait 6 months. Most doctors say to wait 12-18 months if you want a greater chance at a VBAC. I'm not a candidate so my dr said 6 months. At 4 months she called to tell me that my bloodwork ca

My doctor recommended that we wait 12 months as well. I am a very healthy person and my incision site healed beautifully so there were no complications. He said that is the time frame when they know for a fact it should b
