Call or Wait?

I can't decide what to do... at my appt yesterday my OP told me I was in early labor and wouldn't be surprised if I delivered before my next appt... I was at 3 cm, 50% effaced and -3 station. The night before my appointment I'd been having pretty regular contractions but I fell asleep and they were gone when I woke up.

Last night I woke up around 2am with contractions... they are pretty strong and have been consistently around since then, but I haven't been able to time them really. Some are long, some are short, sometimes they're a few minutes apart, sometimes 15 minutes apart. The part that unnerves me is how strong they are (like take my breath away already). 

Should I just wait it out? Call? WWYD? You'd think I'd have an idea since I've gone through this before, ugh!

I agree with pp's. Wait for them to be consistant. My birthing class suggested 5-1-1. 5 minutes apart, 1 minute long, for 1 hour - That's when to call. So that's my plan when time comes.

My doc told me last appt if they are really painful where i am doubled over to not worry about duration and to call for further instruction.
